My name is Mulan and I was born in China. China isnt the greatest country right now and i want to move to america. Moving to America is hard for a women in her young 20's. I am traveling over to america by boat with a bunch of other chinese. I am nervous because of the chinese discrimination act. But excited to be starting my new life. -
Angel Island
We have finally made it to america and it is everything I have pictured. I smell the word freedom everywhere i go. But with all this happiness there is also nervousness. My exam is coming up soon and I am alone. Being alone in a new country is nerve wrecking. But i am alos eager to start a new life in America. -
Physical Exam
I have been in america only 3 days, But still I have no freinds. It seems the chinese are hated here. But today is when i get my physical exam Waiting in the line was scary some people passed it and others didnt. It was my turn and I was so nervous, But i made it. Now i am excited to start a new life in america. -
Starting a Buisness
I need money.. So i am deciding to make my own buisness. My buisness would be weaving baskets . I have great experience from china with baskets. Me and my mom would always make weaving baskets. Days have passed and my buisness has started, I have gotten that much buisness but my costumers have been loyal. America has great opportunity for my buisness to go far. -
Wanting my husband
I havent seen my husband for about a year now. He has been trying his hardest to get over here from china. BUt that is very hard when amercans dont like us that much. So he has finally made it over and we are trying to find our first house together in america. He is also trying to get a job so he can help pay for the house. I am just so excited my husband is here. -
Moving to the city
We are finally feeling comfortable in America. My business is doing wonders and me and my husband are wanting to move to the city. We want to experience the rush of the city and we would both like to be closer to our jobs. I am so happy i have come to America it has made my life a lot better. The americans have been nicer to us. We have just made a great life here and i cant wait to see what the future has in store for us.
