When It all Started
My family was at home and then at 8:00am my dad took my to the hospital. July '1' 2000 at 2:00pm I was born. At first my parents were going to name me Fatima(common turkish name). But then a close family friend suggested Humera because she was going to name her child that but her child was a boy so she didn't. My parents liked the name and it wasn't that common so they decided my name would be Humera. -
My 1st Word
I was 6 months when i said my first word. My first word was grandpa in turkish Which is dede (deade). My dad taught me the word. My dad gave me the phone and it was my grandpa(he lives in Turkey). Then my grandpa was shocked to hear me say that. -
When I Started Talking
When I was 1 years old, I started talking. My dad and mom were trying to make me say more words. I could only say grandpa in turkish and I didn't say it that frequently. But when I turned 1 I started saying more things in turkish like mom and dad. -
Moving Day
I was living in North York Toronto until i was 1 year old. I lived in an apartment. We moved because the apartment was to small. My family was going to move any way but since I was born they thought it would be easier to move when I was 1. -
My First Time on a Plane
My first plane ride was when I was 3. It must of been frustrating for my parents to have a toddler and 3 other kids on the plane. I must have been very unpatient when I was young because i didn't like staying in one spot. But it was very exciting for the first time in my life i could fly. -
1st day of School
I went to Artesian Drive Public School for kindergarten. I was very nervous before I went to school. I got a strawberry shortcake backpack( I used to be obsessed with her) . I was the most nervous I had ever been before. -
Turkey Vist
Our cousins always take us somewhere special in Turkey. But I think this was the most fun day ever. First we went to an indoor pool. I kept coming out because water went in my mouth Then for lunch we had a barbeque. We went to this place where there was this thing called red water. The water is warm and you soak your feet there. I was scared the water would be too hot and I would burn my foot. Next we got these bird whistles. We got icecream before we left. Finally we went to a fair. -
Moving Schools
In June my teacher told me there was a school closer to my house opening in september. I was going to Artesian Drive P.S. But in grade 2 I went to Mckinnon P.S. It wasn't that close but it was closer then Artesian. I went to Mckinnon until 5th grade. -
Marineland Vist
I loved this Marineland land trip. We went with family friends and it was so much fun. We went to see a show with the walruses in it. We also went to see the killer whales. We went on a couple of rides. We went on the farris wheel and many more. After that we had a barbeque. Overall it was a really fun day. -
The day my niece was born
In July in 2007 my older sister got married in Turkey. Three years later my niece was born. Everybody suggested some names but in the end my niece was named Elif. I was the one who suggested that. I became an aunt that day. -
Eid
This Eid was one of the best. 3 different faminly friends came over and so did my niece. It was so much fun we watched a movie and we played on our d.s. Also altogether i got $85. It was the most fun eid ever.
