    The between Travel to Africa and Initial Capture took 2-4 months.During this time period, Europeans sailed in between European and Africa in preparation to gather slaves.
  • Phase Two: Initial Capture

    Phase Two: Initial Capture
    Violence was used to gather slaves. Africans captured other Africans. This was caused by European demand for slaves. On the left, an African holds a gun (most likely traded for with Europeans). He has captured these Africans who are shackled together in front of him.
