This event is significant to me because it is the first major historical event I have a good memory of. I remember most of this day and how heartbreaking it was for everyone around me. I was too young to understand, but I understand now how tragic this event was. I was in the 2nd Grade.
-
Middle school was full of high and low points for me. Mainly, I increased my skills in softball, which has taken me far in life. I traveled to 20 States in the US, for softball mostly. My parents at this time were very hard on me. They wanted me to be the best at Softball and my dad was always pushing me.
-
My dad's mother passed away, who was basically the rock of our family. My dad has four sisters, my aunts, who all live in Tempe so it was very detrimental to our family.
-
My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer a month after his mother passed. This caused a lot of greif in my family. My dad fortunatley beat cancer!
-
I transferred to a different middle school because of social issues. My mother also influenced this because the one I switched to had better Education standings.
-
Could go down as one of the greatest days of my life. I loved highschool it was such a great experiences. Made the greatest memories.
-
I was very interested in sports.
-
First African American President
-
I made the Varsity Softball team as a freshman which was a great accomplishment. My parents were very porud.
-
Traveled to many states playing softball to show college scouts my skills. This I did with my travel team called the Hotshots. This was a high point in my life and made my parents very proud. Cant thank them enough for spending so much money for me to travel and play a sport that I love.

-
My dad had a clean MRI to mark his 5th year being cancer free!
-
I committed to ASU for Softball. I madde this decision mainly because of my sister who played at ASU at the time, and to be close to home. I get homesick and miss my parents so I wanted to stay close to home. Very HIGH point in my life.

One of the nights our game was cancelled due to toronado warnings. We were told to stay inside till further news and instruction. I was woken up around 6pm by my roommate who was yelling saying there was a toronado coming. The sirens were going off and they immediatley took us to an underground parking garage where we waited for the toronado to pass. It was one of the scariest experieces of my life because my parents werent with me but in a hotel down the street.
-
This was a significant event considering how devistating it was to the state of Oklahoma. When we arrived not long after for the WCWS, it was very sad seeing all the signs and cries for help in the town.
-
Our Softball team made it to OKC for the Womens College World Series. One of the best experiences of my life, if not the best.
