    Matthew Calbraith Perry was the Commondore of the U.S. Navy who compelled the opening of Japan to the West with the Convention of Kanagawa in 1854. The main reason the USA wanted Matthew to go to Japan was to use it as a "coaling base" or a base where steamships which used coal, could restock their coal supply.Also to make sure shipwrecked sailors got good treatment and the trade business. Commodore went to Japan's capital and start making demands.

This mutiny was harshly crushed by the British. On Sep 20,1857 the British recaptured Delhi and in the following months the British recaptured Kanpur and withstood a Sepoy siege of Lucknow.

Japan successfully challenged Russia, its other rival for power in Korea and Manchuria. During the Russo-Japanesse War, Japan"s armies defeated Russian troops in Manchuria, and its navy destroyed almost an entire Russian fleet. In 1905 Treaty Portsmouth, Japan gained control of Korea as well as rights in parts of Manchuria.

    The Zulu uprising was an revolt against British rule and taxation in Natal, South Africa. It was led by Chief Bambatha. The British won in an unequal battle with vast forces. Colonial soilders opened fire with machine guns and cannons,on rebels mostly the traditional spears and fighting sticks. In the end, Bambatha was killed and beheaded during the battle and betweween 3,000 and 4,000 were killed during the revolt. More than 7,000 imprisoned and 4,000 flogged.

He is frequently referred to as the founder of the Founding Father of Republican of China.Sun played a tremendous role in ispiring the overthrow of the Quing Dynasty. Sun was the first provisional president when the Republic of China was founded in 1912. Sun was uniting figure in post-imperial China.
