  • Balfour Declaration 1917

    Balfour Declaration 1917
    The declaration was a letter in responce to the idea of creating a jewish homeland in Palestine. Jews created a new concept stating that jewish Holelamds could not be created.
  • British Receive Palestine as a Mandate

    British Receive Palestine as a Mandate
    They receive the mandate after World War I and the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. The mandate was for establishing a national home for Jews.
  • United Nations Partition Plan

    United Nations Partition Plan
    The UN voted to partition Western Palestine into a Jewish and Arab state. The Jews accepted the partion but the Arabs rejected it.
  • War of the Suez Canal

    War of the Suez Canal
    Egypt decided to nationalize the Suez Canal after the withdrawal of an offer by Britain and the United States to fund a building which was in response to Egypt recognizing the People's Republic of China during the conflict bbetween China and Taiwan.

    Palestinian Congress was an effort to give a voice to the large number of Palestinians living in refugee camps in Lebanon.The Palestine Liberation Organization is one of the best known terrorist organizations in the world and after they were created they decided to make their main fosus on destroying Israel.

    Israel and Arab had many border clashes. Israel launched an attack on Eqypt and Egypt attacked Western jerusalem,which led to The War of Independence. In that war Israel had defeated the Arab armies that had invaded it, and expanded its territory

    The war began with a responce attack from the Eqyptains. Arabs attacked Israel on their holiest day.

    Palestinian people erupted against Israel in the West Bank and Gaza areas. This violence was started by false rumors by Muslims. People attacked Israeli troops with stones, axes, hand grenades, and firearms, killing and wounding soldiers and civilians
  • Oslo Accords

    Oslo Accords
    It was called the Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Arrangements and was apart of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. It was the first direct face-to-face agreement between the government of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
  • 2nd Intifada

    It was started by a controversial visit by Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon to the Temple Mount which was the site of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and a place disputed by Israelis and Palestinians.On October 7th a Palestinian mob demolished a Jewish holy site near the West Bank then on Oct.12th two Israelians wandered into a Palestnian city and were brutally beat.The violence continued.
  • Camp David Accords

    Camp David Accords
    Egyptian president signed the accords following 12 days of secret negotiations. The accords led to the 1979 Israel Egypt Peace Treaty.
