    The UN decided that it would be best to split Palestine into two for the Arabs and Jews. The Arabs attacked Israel once the British troops left.

    Israel, Britian, and France attacked Egypt after they nationalized the Suez Canal. Israeli troops occupied but later withdrew from Sinai Peninsula.

    The goal was to set up a Palestinian state and force the destruction of Israeli's. They launched guerilla attacks on Israeli's from bases in Jordan. The conflict between the two would spread. The PLO would attack the U.S along with other nations that supported Israel.

    It was an international multi-sport event held in Munich. It was in west Germany. The killing of eleven Israeli athletes by Palestine gunmen in an event know as the Muinch Massacre took place.

    Syria and Egypt attack Israel to regain land lost from six day war. Israel pushed back the invaders and the UN soon negotiated a cease-fire.

    Palestinians in Israel rebelled against the Israeli military rule. They attacked everything including civilians and businesses. The response to the Intifada was many arrests and deportation of the Palestinians. Many houses and buildings of suspected leaders of the Intifada were destroyed.
