Piaget's Preoperational Stage - I had to think logically and connect words to thoughts. This stage happens around 2-7 years of age.

Erikson's Industry vs Inferiority children enter into the greater society beyond the family for the first time. If they succeed in navigating this stage, then they are able to develop a meaningful social role to give back to society. I was able to do something real for myself and gain skills to use in real life.

Piaget's Formal Operational Stage, Kohlberg's Conventional Morality Level I'm learning and finding my purpose. I'm also trying to do the right things that will gain the approval of others.

Erik Erikson's Identity vs Role confusion relates to this event because it is only of the main times in life you have to really decide what to do. You must find a true identity.

This relates to Erik Erikson's Intimacy vs Isolation. As I will be moving to a new city soon and will be on my own I would need something to keep me company (intimacy) in this case a dog.
