    Chapter One - The Sound of the Shell
    A plane crashes on an island and there is a group of young, well mannered english boys who survived. The group forms together and attempts to keep themselves civilized and under order and control. Though they may try to do so, they are in fact stranded and little do they know that in the future they will start to become savages. They are realizing they have to fend for themselves, and are aiming to be responsible and keep themselves alive.

    Chapter 2 - Fire on the Mountain
    Ralph faces the fact that there are no adults and they have to gain responsibility.The boys are now assigned duties to hunt and create a fire.In the rush to create a signal fire, the boys neglect to think of an adult prespective or the possibilities of a bad outcome, and cause a terrible forest fire. In addition to this, a boy has gone missing and possibly died due to their lack of civilization and responsibility to keep track of their members.They were not thinking straight and civilized.

    Chapter 3 - Huts on the Beach
    Ralph is determined to create huts to keep the idea of homes, shelter, and protections. Jack desires to hunt, and kill, and find food for the group. Ralph is attempting to stay civilized and keep culture while Jack is leading toward savagery and a barbaric way. Simon on the other hand will help Ralph create the huts in any way he can, but also favors the beauty and peace of the woods. The more the other boys argue, the more they disappear from society.

    Chapter 4 - Painted Faces and Long Hair
    Jack and Roger find much need for power. They throw rocks at the littluns or the weaker ones, and also have a large focus on killing a pig and obtaining power. Leading towards more of a savaged society, Jack insists on painting his face for camoflauge when hunting, and feeling more barbaric. With all the hunting, they ignore the fire and miss a chance of rescue leaving ethics and responsiblities behind.

    Chapter 5 - Beast from Water
    Pursuing to stay civilized, Ralph tries to bring everyone together. The boys are endangering their healths and lives by not using the correct toilet area, or keeping an eye on the signal fire. The littluns declare they say the beast come out of the water. Everyone fears what the littluns speak of. The beast represents all of their inner fears, struggles, and potential for evil.

    Chapter 6 - Beast from Air
    As the anger intensifies on the island, a war occurs above the boys while they're sleeping. The boys society and civilization is split among two groups. In one group, there is a drive to keep peace, civilzation, cutlure, humanity, and morals alive. The other strives for power, competition, and a hunger for ultimate control. Savagery is fully welcome with the lack hold onto the entire group.

    Chapter 7 - Shadows and Tall Trees
    The hunt makes the boys more exited now each time. They are begining to enjoy hunting and killing. The boys' decline into savagry begins to expose itself more as seen when they pretend to hunt Robert. The joke starts to get out of hand, and the boys hurt Robert by poking their spears and pulling at him. Their common sense gets pushed aside by the thrill of causing harm to another living thing.

    Chapter 8 - Gift for the Darkness
    Hunting gets taken too far when the boys take a step past enjoying the hunt, to now purposely being cruel to the pigs. The hunter's civil nature hardly shows anymore, as their fears and inner animals take over. The boy even leave a hunted pig's head on a stick as a type of offering to the beast, which shows how uncontrolable their fears are becoming.

    Chapter 9 - A View to Death
    The true savagry that lies inside the boys is let loose when they all together murder Simon. The comination of the thrill of the pig dance, and the uneasiness of the thunderstorm lead the boys to think that Simon crawling towards them is actually the beast trying to get them. They then go on to brutally beat Simon. Only after it is done do they realize it was their friend, and not the beast.

    Chapter 10 - The Shell and the Glasses
    Jack's tribe steals fire and glasses from Ralph's tribe, separating the boys and lowering their chances of rescue even more. If Jack and his tribe were thinking clearly they would realize that they would get off the island faster if they worked together and kept the glasses safe, but jack is blinded by hatred and savagry.
  • Chapter 11 - Castle Rock

    Chapter 11 - Castle Rock
    The evil that lies inside some of the boys is now shown when they begin to purposely hurt eachother. We see this when Jack and Ralph fight and Ralph is wounded, but even more so when Roger murders Piggy by hitting him with a boulder and sending him flying off a cliff. Roger's evil was previously foreshadowed when Roger was on the beach throwing rocks at the littluns.
  • Chapter 12 - Cry of the Hunters

    Chapter 12 - Cry of the Hunters
    Due to their fear and survival of the fittest, Samneric tell Jack about Ralph's hiding place. The height of the fall to savagry hits when Jack's tribe purposely plans and set out to kill Ralph. Jack's tribe also burns the jungle down while blinded by bloodlust to hunt Raloh. The boys did not think of the possibilities of burning the island down. Ralph's death was Jack and his tribe's only concern.
