"2faced" timeline - evaluation 7

  • Got given outline of the project

We then needed to choose if we wanted to do a high school drama or a youth drama i.e Mainstream film or a independent film. Which we ended uo choosing a high school drama, as many people from the previous years chose youth drama. This meant that our media product would be very different from others, and therefore stand out and be more memorable.
  • Create a story line.

In order to do this, we did heavy research into many high school films such ast"The breakfast club", "clueless", "saturday night fever" and "shes all that". This also meant that we has to find people to play the characters in the film (Mostly people within our own group)
  • Create Shot List

We incorporated a long list, 30+ shots, though not all were used. This helped us plan out all our scene for our film. We varied from a range of shot such as close ups. Long shots, tracking, hand held, pan etc.
  • Loactions

Before any filming, we had to ensure we had our locations set. We needed both a college set, street set and a home set. A person in our group allowed for us to use their house
  • Production Schedule

For this we had to have a date set, where we were filming and how long we would film for. this was very important as it made it easier for everyone in the group to work well with eachother, knowing we all knew what was happening. It also meant that the teachers knew where we was and that we were able to get the equipment out easily.
  • Film Presentation

Before any filming could take place, we had to incoprate all of our planning that we previously did into a slideshow presentation, in our case a prezi. This helped us as it allowed people to give us feedback; to make sure that our story line would appeal to our target audience, and that it made sense to everyone what it was about. As well as student feeback, teachers were able to show us what they liked an what they didnt like, overall making our film better.
  • Start Filming

pre book equipment out (signing the form and getting teachers signature). This includes camera, batteries, memory cards, tri pod, fig rig and lighting.
This normally takes around a couple sessions of filming; 10/15 hours of filming.
  • Editing of Rough cuts

Editing through out the filming period enables you to spot any mistakes you hva emade while filming. Producing your first rough cut allows for you to recieve feedback which can improve the quality of your film.
  • Second Rough cut

After uploading and recieving feeback from the first rough cut, you should be able to improve it for your second try. By this time you should already have some music on your film.
  • FInal filming and editing process

You should by this time have finished all filming and finshing the editing process. This includes soundtrack, credits and idents. When this is done export the film and upload to your blog.
