    FIRST FISHING TRIP
    My first fishing trip I was 3 years old. I was fishing in the Roanoke River with my parents. I caught my first bass on that day. The fish weighed 2 pounds. This trip helped me grow to learn the different fishing techniques, fun and relaxation and the importance of family time together.

    My first day of school I was excited and nervous because this was a BIG change for me. I met some friends which made the day easier. The elementary school I attended was Manning. It helped me grow by teaching me to respect others, discipline and the importance of having friends.

    DEATH OF MY GREAT-GRANDMOTHER
    My great grandma that died was on my dad's side of the family. She died of old age. She lived in Weldon with her daughter who is my grandma. It helped me grow by teaching me that death is a part of life that we have no control over. It has helped me become a stronger per son to accept death.

    PRINCIPAL'S AWARD
    This award is when the principal chooses students for getting good grades. All of the students that got the principal's award went to Andy's Restuarant to be treated for lunch. It taught me that if you study hard and show responsibility that you will be rewarded for it.

    My baptism was held at Weldon United Methodist Church.This is when I became a member of the church. My family members were there to support me. It helped me grow by teaching me responsibilities.
  • National Honors Student.

    National Honors Student.
    The National Honors Student is an organization that chooses children in the nation for their good grades. I was recommended by one of my 6th grade teachers at Chaloner Middle School. You have to maintain an A average to be approved. It helped me grow by teaching me to achieve greater things.
