Mar 25, 1802 The Treaty of Amiens ends fighting between France and the United Kingdom for a brief and temporary period of time. 1803 France was removed from Haiti after attacks from Toussaint L'Ouverture's troops and bouts of Yellow Fever. 1803 Napoleon antagonized the British into a war after they failed to leave Malta in a timely manner. 1804 Napoleon sent a French fleet led by Pierre Villenueve and Spanish allies as a decoy to the West Indies. 1804 Britain approached Alexander I for an alliance since they lacked a large army. Dec 2, 1805 Russia is annihilated at the Battle of Austerlitz. Dec 26, 1805 The Treaty of Pressburg is signed between France and Austria. Dec 26, 1805 Prussia is promised the city of Hanover. 1806 Napoleon celebrates his victory with dedication of the Arc de Triomphe. 1806 Napoleon controlled enough of Europe to inaugurate the Continental System. 1806 Napoleon formed the Confederation of the Rhine. 1806 Napoleon dissolved the Holy Roman Empire. Oct 14, 1806 Napoleon marched on Prussia after their secret alliance with Russia is discovered at the Battle of Jena. Period: Feb 7, 1807 to Feb 8, 1807 Napoleon was able to battle the Russians at the Battle of Eylau which resulted in a massive number of deaths. Jun 14, 1807 France gathered enough troops to take down Russia at the Battle of Friedland.
