    Henry the navigator

    Henry the Navigator born March 4, 1394 and died November 13, 1460. He aided the early development of European exploration and trade with other continents. He explored the coast of Africa and learned about the oppurtunities of the Saharan trade routes that happened there.

    Reign of Mehmed the Conqueror

    Mehmed Found many universities and colleges in constantinople (some even used today) after conquering it, and brought an end to the byzantine empire. Mehmed ruled the Ottoman Empire from 1444 to September 1446, and then once more from Feb. 1451 o 1481. Mehmed was also seen as the first Sultan to Cofidy criminal and contitutional law.

Durin his rule sonhai became more powerful than the Mali empire and he was the first ruler to allow both muslim and non muslims to co exist. During this time period co existence of the different beliefs were challenged greatly.
