  • Birth

Teya Shari Chapman started infancy, at deaconess hospital. Which is when I started my early stages of growth and development.

    Parenting style

My parents always had the warm and strict parenting style. They were always there and loving to us. They are between strict and premissive. My dad is more strict, because the way he grew up and my mom is strict, but a little more premissive, because the way she grew up. I am allowed to do almost anything I want, but there is always a rule to it.
  • Walking

When I was about 8 months, my parents and I were in the livingroom, we were just playing. Then I started crawling and I got up and started walking to my mom. This is an example of gross motor development, becuase I started walking.
  • My sister and I

When my sister was born, my mother said that I was not very happy. One day I was about one years old, I was outside with my sister and I picked up a brick and threw it at her head. This is an example of motor development, because I was grabbing, holding, and throwing a brick.
  • Childhood

This is when I grew about 2-3 inches and gain about 4-6 pounds. This is the begining of my childhood.
  • Attachment with my parents

When my mom and dad dropped my sister and I off at my grandmas when they both had to work. They said we would started crying and we didn't want them to leave. This is an example of attachment, because we prefered our parent and when they left we cried.
  • Thunderstorm

Something I always remember asking my parents why it rained. My parents told me that it would rain, because god is crying or taking a shower. The thunder was God clapping and lightening because God was mad. That is what I used to say when they asked me that question. This is an example of animistic preoperational stage, that was my kind of thinking at that time.
  • Stranger-anxiety

When I was little, we would go somewhwere and there was a lot of people. I would hide behing my mom and would not talk. This is an example of stranger-anxiety, because I was afraid of people I didn't know.
  • peer pressure

When I was in elementary school, my old friend tried to make me a bully. They tried to make me be mean to other people, like they would do. I ended up not being their friends anymore, because I wasn't that kind of person. This is a type of peer pressure, because they are trying to make you do things you are not absolutly comfortable doing.
  • Avoiding punishment

My sister and I were messing with my brother, and we wanted to play a game. We wanted him to hang on the door like he was superman. He couldn't hang on and fell off and busted his lip. So we tried to fixed it and told him not to tell, but he went down stairs and told on us. This is an example of preconventional level, because we tried to aviod punishment.

    Height

Around 2005 I was 5 feet tall, and when I was in middle school I was 5 feet and 8 inches. This is an example of adolescence grow spurt, because my height increased.
  • What I wanted to do when I grew up.

When I was about this age, I knew that I wanted to do something in the healthcare or something with animals. This is the formal-operational stage, because I am thinking ahead in the future.
  • Cliques

There were some cliques in middle school, but I wasn't really in any cliques. I would hang out with anyone, but there were group of people that made a clique and everyone one had a candy name, like skittles and butterfingers.
  • Adolescence

I think this is about when I started adolescence, because I started changing and maturing.
  • Driving

This was the day I finally got my driving licences. This was one step to young adulthood for me, so everyday before this day I would beg to get my licences.
