Spinning Jenny

The Spining Jenny was invented by James Hargreaves. This machine was invented specificly to weave clothe to make clothes. This increased clothing protuction & the need for cotton every where.

Jan 2, 1769

Steam Engine

This invention is the Steam engine wich was invented by James Watt. This is engine powered by steam from boiling water. This was mostly uused in boats and trains for transportation. Also used in mills to power looms.

Jan 3, 1788

Thresher

The Thresher wqas invented by Andrew Meikle. What this acctually does it that it separates the grains from the stalk. This incresed production in agriculture industry and farming trade.

Factory System

Samuel Slater secretly had brought all of these ideas to America. Hundreds of people would work in one place wih was manufacturing products. All lot of people moved to the city,worked by the clock and earned a wage

Cotton Gin

This cotton gin was invented by Eli Whitney. What this acctualy did was separate the seeds from cotton. The good thing about this was that it increased demand for cotton, which increased the demand for slaves.

Interchaneable Parts

This was also invented by Eli Whitney. This replaced the pices of exact specifications. The parts are exactly alike. The production became faster and repairs became easier and faster. This machine decrased the need for skilled labor.

Steamboat

This was invented by Robert Fulton. These boats were waterd by syeam engines instead of water wheels. This made transportaion easier and fastor in the cities .

National road

This was proposed by Albert Galletin. This road extended from Maryland to Virginia. The easier Route was through the Appalachian Mountains. This helped the people move eaiser from state to state.

Jan 9, 1825

Erie Canal

This was proposed by John Calhoun. This canal linked New York with Buffalo. This opened Ohio for transportation of farm products and development. It made westward development easier.

Mechanical Reaper

This was invented by Cyrus McCormick. This would cut ripe grains. This made the production about 24 times faster.

Jan 11, 1836

Steel Plow

This machine was invented by John Deere. The steel plow did not break or dull in the hard, clay.rocky soil. This increased production and settlers usually expanded west.
