    Black Death First Discovered

    224 BC is the true year(which I couldn't place since there is no option for this), that the first case of the Bubonic Plague was found, in China. While this was not as much an epidemic as in the middle ages, this is still important, because the creation of the Silk Road spread this disease to Europe.

    Charles Martel Dead
    After Conquering a majority of France by 735, in the late 730's, Martel's health began waning. Martel died in 741 soon after retreating to his palace in Quierzy-sur-Oise. Before dying, he split his kingdon evenly between his 2 legitimate soms, Carloman and Pippin III.

    Richard I was the third son of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine, and while he was last in the line to the throne, he was his mother's favorite child. After his two brothers staged a revolt against their father, and his eldest brother Henry the Young King died on June 11th, 1183, Richard became the heir to the English throne.

    After King Charles VII took the throne, Joan was captured by Anglo-Burgundian men, where she was tried for heresy and witchcraft, and convicted, to which the punishment was burning at the stake. She was 19 years old.

When she ascended to the throne, the country was in economical ruin, split by religious quarrel,and exhausted from being used by both Spain and France. Yet rather than asking her husband to help, she did it herself, attributing to her fame.

    Henry wanted to capture France, since his health was fading, and he was morbidly obese. He created an army of over 40,000 soldiers, but only a town of France, Boulogne, was captured, and it was deemed a failed seizure of France. Henry died soon after.

    Elizabeth's image and health waned over the years, espeically with the smallpox she had contracted in 1562. She made less public appearances, and was painted decares younger than she actually was. Her successor, KIng James, was a disappointment, leading people to long for Elizabeth once more, as if she could defy Death.

    Charlemagne was the picture of health, until 810, where he had many fevers and gained a limp. Despite this, he went on his own, since doctors asked him to give up roasted meat, one of his favorite foods. In 813, his son Louis the Pious, the king of Aquitaine, was also named co-emperor. Louis became the sole emperor. Charlemagne had an empire covering most of West Europe when he died.

    Charles Martel was the illegitimate son of the mayor of Austrasia ( the eastern part of the Frankish kingdon and Neustria as its western part) Rulers had power in name only, After his father's legitimate children were assassinated, and his father himself soon after, Charles was to rule, despite him being neglected in the will. The Neustrians and his father's widow tried to kill him, but he escaped and formed an army, finally subduing Neustria in 724.
