  • 7000 BCE

    Mesopotamia-The first farms

    Back in 12,000 years ago, there was hunter-gatherer group that settled in Mesopotamia. Over time they learned how to plant crops to get their own food. Silt was given every year during floods at the Tigris and Euphrates river. This silt was the ideal for farming, so that was how the first farm settlements began at Mesopotamia during 7000 BC. Farmers grew wheat, barley, and other types of grain. Other kinds of food was found at Mesopotamia like livestock, birds, and fish too.

    This was about farming, empires, writing, laws, trading system, and art.

    Egypt-Agricultural communities

    The Hunter-gatherers groups moved into the Nile Valley over 12,000 years ago. In the Nile Valley there was plants, wild animals, and fish there to eat. They made small villages at there too. Farmers made a irrigation system too.

    This was about the Nile River, Gods, how to burial, pyramids, Hieroglyphics, the Rosetta Stone, Sphinxes, and Kush's Trading network.

    During 3300 BC, some pictographs were like almost the same as the image.

    Egypt-Writing in Ancient Egypt

    Back then Egyptian used stone or hard-materials to craved on. Later Egyptians made papyrus to write because it was easier and easy to roll too.

    Egypt-The Old Kingdom

    The First and Second Dynasties ruled Egypt for around four centuries, but after those came the Third Dynasty in 2700 BC also called the Old Kingdom. This dynasty was Egyptians develop their political system, so this dynasty political system was based on that whoever is the pharaoh is considered to the people a king and a god. This dynasty ended at 2200 BC.

    Mesopotamia-Sargon conquers Mesopotamia+world's first empire

    Sargon extend the Akkadian territory and they eventually defeated all the city-states of Sumer at 2300s BC. Sargon also established the world's first empire. Sargon ruled as the emperor until he died in fifty years later and was the end of their reign to struggle to keep up from invaders.

    Kerma-Kush Kingdom

    Before the kingdom of Kush was named it was actually called Nubia, but because of one of the leaders that took over other villages. After that he called himself the King of the Region, so thus the Kingdom of Kush.

    The Past-Beginning of Harappan Civilization

    This civilization is found at the Sarasvati River which is somewhere in the southeast of Indus. This civilization grew as their irrigation and agriculture grew.

    This was about monsoons, Sanskrit, Varnas, caste system, Brahmanism, Vedic texts, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, non-violence, Buddhism, Mauryan Empire, Hindu empire, and Hindu-Arabic numerals.

    The Middle kingdom

    After the reign of the Old Kingdom, local nobles fought for the power in Egypt. That was also a time that farming was corrupted. In the end at 2050 BC, a pharaoh who had power now named Mentuhotep II. Thus a new kingdom began named The Middle Kingdom. The kingdom fell down at 1750 BC.

    Baghdad, Iraq-Hammurabi's Code

    Although Hammurabi was a excellent war leader, he also created the Hammurabi's code. Hammurabi's code was a set of laws with 282 laws of almost everything that we do in our daily life. This set of laws included trades, loans, and theft to marriage, injury, plus murder. Some of these laws are still in countries today.

    Born was Prince Siddhartha, then when he was old he saw how other was suffered. Siddhartha thought of one question "What is the meaning of life?" Before the age of 30, Siddhartha left home to answer the question. Siddhartha took of his mind of daily concerns, so he didn't wash himself, decided to fast, and meditate. Siddhartha wandered throughout India for six years. eventually he sat underneath a tree near the town of Gaya and he found the answers to his question, so he was named Buddha.

    India-Asoka

    Asoka was a strong ruler, the strongest of all ruler of Mauryan.
    After a few years Asoka decided to converted to Buddhism.
    He also ordered missionaries to spread the word about Buddhism.

    India created the numbers sort of.
    They learned basic arithmetic, fractions, and count system.

    The Pyramid of Giza is still found today which was built by slaves thousands of years ago.
