    Bartolome De Las Casas, an educated Catholic Priest, lived with natives and thought it was inhumane to enslave them. Instead of natives Bartolome thought it would be better to enslave Africans. In 1511 the first 400,000 thousand slaves arrived in the Americas to work on sugar plantation for up to 48 hours at a time, work in danerous mines, and live in inhumane con ditions

    Cortes Conquers Aztec Empire
    In May, 1521 Cortes arrives in the Aztec Capital Tenochtitlan and kills the emperor Montezuma. He is able to do this by arriving at the same year Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec sun god, was supposed to, dressing in shiny armor, and arriving from the east. He also told Montezuma that he had a disease only gold could cure. Cortez took advantage of the diseases the Europeans carried, their guns, and their weapons made out of steel.

    Pizarro Conquers Incan empire
    In 1533, Pizarro conquers the Incan Empire and their emperor, Atahualpa, because he has numerous advantages. He destroys them with guns and swords, but their largest weapon were diseases that the Incas were not immune to. Also, the Incas' swords could only incapacitate, not kill.

    In 1607, the unsuccessful town of Jamestown was founded. There were a total of three ships, and 100 occupants. In the first few years 7/10 people died due to starvation It was the capital of the Colony of Virginia, until after 100 years, it moved to Richmond.

    Since Pilgrims were not allowed to practice their form of Christianity, they wanted to find a new world. Because they saw what happened to Jamestown and Roanoke they settled in Plymouth. They wrote a letter to England, and were then allowed to create their own government.
