Initial ideas
On this date we came up with initial ideas, with in mind what we could realisticly do but would produce a good trailer. We had in mind our target audience in terms of age and niche market, and this brainstorm would serve as the foundation upon our audience resarch. We had 4 different genres, and each member of the group had to come up with a treatment for that genre that was to be shown to the public. We decided on the best one, and that was the treatment to be shown to the public -

Conduct Questionnaire
We conducted a questionnaire, basically asking for peoples opinions on our treatment (Based of our initial ideas), and how it could be improved. We also asked what they thought in general makes a good trailer, poster and film magazine. It was useful because it gave us direction, and what we should aim to include to make our a trailer stand out. This was useful because it included questions about age and gender, making it easier to narrow down our target audience, which in turn gave us direction -
Class Feedback
Using a flip cam, we conducted class feedback based upon the work he had done up until that point, such as treatment, ideas, presentation, if our idea was realistic or not. We felt that getting the opinion of fellow media students would help us in the long run as they can give more realistic advice as opposed to non-media students. -
Final Treatment
We used flipcams again to film our targer audiences response to our final treatment. This wasnt to see if this was a good idea, because we knew it was based off previous feedback. This was to instead see if it was enough for them to actually watch the film if it were real. They all said they would, some stated that reading the treatment got them emotional, meaning that its emotional enough and causes a response. This response is whats going to make someone who views the trailer go watch the film -

We thought it be a good idea to find out the general publics opinion (As opposed to just our target audiences) about our final treatment. So on our facebooks (who between us will have roughly 2000 friends), we posted a link to our treatment for our "friends" to read. On a whole, everyone thought it was a good idea, but some criticised it for being to "soft" for them, putting it in the same bracket as other films (not related) such as twilight and romeo+Julliet.
