Whale Journal

  • Day 1

This was the night that we all met our fathers.
  • Day 2

My father took me to go and see his best friend Mike. Mike has 2 children named Amanda and Gabe. I played with them and then they swam off toward the middle of the ocean. They were in trouble because a shark was swimming around them. My dad went out to save them and scared off the shark.
  • Day 3

My dad and I went to go and visit Hralekana. She told me a story about how a wandering tribe came and discovered the ocean. The story lasted a long time. She also called me by my full name which I have never heard before.
  • Day 4

Today was the day that I had to leave for the Lonely Cruise. I said goodbye to Marvin and my parents. It was sad to leave them, but I had too. It was the step to adulthood.
  • Day 5

Today I was woke up by a cable that had scratched by side. Once I really looked at it I noticed that it was a harpoon. Later that day a waterspout came and brought a storm. As soon as I woke up the storm was over with and it had passed over.
  • Day 6

This is the day that I take the plunge and see the future. The future I see isn't what is going to happen but what it meant.
  • Day 7

This is when I meet some new friends and I hear a boat coming towards me so I had to leave. When I rise the fog was lifting and heading towards the town. Also I found the lagoon and I found Marvin inside of the lagoon.
  • Day 8

Marvin and I escaped from the lagoon with getting hit a couple of times. I also got hit with a bullet. We met up with Jack and Scruffy again so we decided to go our seperate ways. We also kept looking for the pod that night.
  • Day 9

Today we felt like smooth calves because the ice fell on top of us which scrapped the barnacles off of our backs. We met some other friends along the way too. We stayed by the snow mountains for three days. I saved a baby from three sharks.
  • Day 10

Today we found the pod in warm waters. I watch Hralekana and my father die. Hralekana got hit with a harpoon and so did my dad. It was really depressing to see them go but its all apart of life.
