We decided to keep it small and only invite family to our backyard wedding. Sending out the invitations was the first step...

Becky's cousin Dawn prepared all of the flowers for the ceremony. It's great to come from a florist family. The flowers were gorgeous!

Time to rehearse for the big day!
-
Wedding day started with a trip to the salon for hair and then to the spa for makeup. We're not used to be so pampered!
-
Although we were having a formal dinner reception, we wanted to have the traditional snacks (mixed nuts and dinner mints), along with customized M&M's, cake and punch. We had a "mini-reception" after the ceremony before we headed downtown for the sit-down dinner reception.
-
Although it was a small ceremony, we still wanted to have everyone on record who attended.
-
Before the ceremony began, wedding photos were taken. It was during the photo shoot that the skies began to darken and we heard thunder in the distance. We were almost finished with the photos when some of the largest raindrops we'd ever seen began to fall. We quickly ran inside.
-
I was originally concerned that I wouldn't be able to hear the cellist and violinist since the ceremony was outside. Once the rain chased us inside, that was definitely no longer an issue. The musicians were directly next to us...and I'm certainly not complaining.
-
After all of the excitement and challenges, it was finally time to get the show on the road!
-
The reception was at Shula's 347 Grill. It was great to relax and enjoy a delicious meal with our family. I had one last surprise for Tracie - I spent a few months creating a PowerPoint presentation of hundreds of photos of the two of us, set to "our" songs, Better Together by Jack Johnson, Book of Love by

We are so thankful for the love and support of our families. We will cherish this group photo for years to come.

I had the musicians compose a special arrangement of one of Tracie's favorite songs. Here's a link to her original favorite version, sung by Ana Gasteyer. [https://youtu.be/7BpO2N1Qeqo] Retrieved from YouTube, by TuneCore

We got everything and everyone inside just in time for the bottom to fall out of the sky. It rained so hard you could barely see across the backyard. They say it's good luck for it to rain on your wedding day...we should be good to go!
