    General Harrison fought against Tucemseh at Tippecanoe Creek. Tucemseh's army lived in a town called Prophetstown. In the war, Tucemseh lost one man while Harrison lost nineteen. Harrison chased Tucemseh out of Prophetstown and he burnt Prophetstown.

    Oliver Hazard Perry Captures a British fleet on Lake Erie
    The U.S. was lead by Oliver Hazard Perry. The British killed thirty and wounded 93 Americans. The U.S. Killed 41 and wounded 94 British." The victory gave the Americans control of Lake Erie for the rest of the war.

    July 3, 1814, the Americans crossed the Niagra River at Buffalo, easily seizing Fort Erie. 1813, invaders decide to take control of Kingston to separate Upper and Lower Canada. November 5, 1814, the Americans crossed the Niagra River, ending the war at Upper Canada.

    The British burn the White House and Capitol. "The British found out that James Madison and First Lady Dolley went to Maryland for safety." Madison never moved back into the White House.

    The Americans defeated the British. Cockburn lead part of the fleet. At Fort McHenry, there were about 1,600 mortars shot at the fort. 400 mortars hit the fort.

    7,500 British troops fought against 4,500 Americans. "It was the last major battle of the War of 1812." The Treaty of Ghent was signed two weeks before the war started, because of the treaty, the war was ended.
