    The Washington’s Proclamation of Neutrality was endorsed by George Washington. This stated that the United States would not participate in any war. However, this was directed to France and Britain stating that United States would be neutral between the two. It also threaten to harm any American citizen aiding the countries at war. This led up to the War of 1812 because France aided the United States when they were declaring independence against Britain.

    The Jay Treaty was an agreement made between United States and Britain that deflected the oncoming war between the two countries. Britain agreed to leave the Northwest Territory and to leave American ships alone so their trading can become peaceful and their economy can advance. This contributed to War of 1812 because this was an major aspect that took place. By Great Britain forcing their kidnapping victims to work and service them. It made America disappointed and angry at Britain.

    The Chesapeake-Leopard Affair was an treaty that tried to prevent the violence between America and Britain. Due to impressment continuing the treaty did not proceed. The Leopard tried to proceed in Chesapeake to look for sailors or runaways, but Chesapeake refused. Therefore, this resulted to Leopard firing at American boats and ships which led to three people dying and some injured. This showed the terrible relationship between Britain and U.S that led to the War of 1812.

U.S also wanted a war because Britain had an alliance and was aiding Native Americans, how badly their economy was effected, and national humiliation. This contributed to the War of 1812 because it was more reason for U.S to go to war with Britain.

    The Tecumseh was an Native American that led the Shawnee and the Tecumseh’s Confederacy. Tecumseh had an alliance with Britain because they wanted to prevent the U.S from expanding and trying to take their territories/land. So they basically helped Britain fight U.S for their own advantage. After Tecumseh did so did the alliance with Britain and Britain had to retreat from the war.

There was 26 delegates that was assembled. They wanted the Federal government to help aid New England and to help them with their financial problems due to their trading economy decaying.

    The Treaty of Ghent was considered a peace treaty that ended the War of 1812 between Britain and United States. This treaty was ratified by U.S Congress and it states that all the Northwest Territories or land that was taken has to be restored back to the original owner. That the plan was to remain peaceful and to settle any problems between each other so trade a can regulate and they nations can expand.

    The Battle of New Orleans was the final major battle of the War of 1812 that happened due Andrew Jackson not knowing that the Treaty of Ghent has been signed. So the battle between the two continued and the U.S claimed victory over Britain due to Britain being unprepared for the battle so it resulted to the U.S winning. This battle helped American remain stable and increase the confidence.
