Battle of Lake Erie
This Battle was fought off coast of ohio in Lake Erie. 9 vessels (ships) of the American Navy defeated it captured 6 Great Britain vessels. This was a big win the the U.S. and one of the biggest naval battles during the war. -
Battle of Horseshoe bend
This battle took place in central Alabama. United States forces and Indian allies under Colonel Andrew Jackson defeated the Red Sticks, a part of the Creek Indian tribe who opposed American expansion, ending the Creek War. -
British Attack Washington D.C.
The British had attacked the United States Capitol, Washington D.C. . They burned many public buildings and the white house, after all the servants and the president had escaped. -
Attack on Fort McHenry
At 6:00 am, the British Naval fleet had begun attacking Fort McHenry. The American and British armies did very little damage to each other, and the British had retreated. -
Battle of New Orleans
The Battle of New Orleans was the last objective for the British. The American Army fleet was led by Andrew Jackson, and was outnumbered by the British in both men and weapons. But this was a big win for the Americans, even though the war was already over.
