This is an important event because that is when we finnally declared our freedom from England and became our own country . the constitution ended our suffering and helped us start to build the great nation that we are today. Without the constitution we could still be in england instead of being free like we are now. -

The Louisiana purchase was important because it was the early stages of the united states and we needed more land and the Louisiana purchase was a cheap buy for only 3 cents an acre and it gave us control of New Orleans port and other important ports as well as doubling our amount of land. That is why that is an extremely important event in U.S.A history. -

The civil war was an important U.S event because it finnally ended slavery in the united states and it stopped the north and south from having problems with eachothother and while the civil war was happening the north's economy was booming! -

Because he had just ended slavery and the nation loved him and then he got killed stripping the nation of its leader and a great president. Without Lincoln the country was in anarchy we didnt know who to fall to as our leader and it was tough to keep slavery out now. -

The significance of the Manhattan Project was to put an end to WWII by using weapons of mass destruction that forced Japan to surrender. It also opened opportunities for the research of more powerful nuclear atomic bombs and the use of them in future wars or conflicts. The negative part of the Manhattan project was that it also gave other countries the opportunity to develop nuclear weapons that are more powerful, which could pose a threat on America. -
vietnam war
It is important because we learned in that war not to underestimate our enemy's. We went into vietnam knowing almost nothing about how they fight so as a result they showed us and dominated the battlefield because we didnt think to study them before we charged in. This war makes sure that we dont hastily start a war and lose because we know nothing.We will always remember that we tried that in vietnam and lost as a result of it so nowe will never fight an enemy blindly again. -

JFK was a young, energetic, forward thinking man of a new generation who offered promise and hope for what America could be into the future.He was full of great ideas he found ways to make peace with comunists put a man on the moon and was bringing America to our peak but then an assasins bullet took him and all of America's dreams away. We were devastated. -

It proved that you can put a man on an object in space and it took us ahead of the Russians in space projects and it fulfilled JFK's promise to put a man on the moon before the end of the decade. And it also started our wonderful space programs -

9/11 was an important U.S event because the terrorists who rammed there planes into the twin towers took away billions of dollars from us and thousands of lives and that sent us on a chase to eradicate terrorism. And it also showed that we werent safe and there are still terrorist's out there. -
