    The First African Slaves Come to the Americas
    When millions of Native Americans died from bruttal dieseases, the Europeans decided to use Africans as slaves. Many Africans were taken away from their land and families, and made slaves. Slavery in the Americas lasted for hundreds of years. The Africans were needed for labor on farms and mines, and the Africans already had knowledge on how to farm.

    Cortes Defeats the Aztec Empire
    The Aztec Empire was a prominent empire inside Mexico. Cortes, a Spanish explorer and conquerer, fought against the Aztecs. He was able to conquer them because he and his army had more advanced weapons, he got some Native Americans to side with him and help him, and many Native Americans died from the European diseases.

    Pizzaro Defeated the Incan Empire
    The Incan Empire was a major empire in South Americas. Francisco Pizarro was a Spanish conqueror who came to Peru. He abducted the Incan leader, Atahualpa, and made the Incans pay a ton of ransom. However, even when the Incans gave a room full with gold and silver, Pizarro killed Atahualpa anyway. Then the Spanish proceeded to defeat the rest of the resisting Incans.

    Colonists came from England and named the colony after their respected king. Jamestown was the first permanent English colony. However, it really struggled at first. The English were too concentrated on getting gold, so they didn't plant enough food. Therefore, many English people died. However, the colony gradually became more sucessfull.

    This colony was founded by Pilgrims in Massachusetts. The pilgrims came to leave persecution and be able to freely practice their religion.

    The French and Indian War Came to a Close
    The French and Indian War was basically a war fought between the French and English colonies. Both nation's territories wanted more land. The English were along the coast, and the French were in the interior. The English won the war. Therefore, the French lost almost all their territory; all they had left was part of an island in the Caribbean. The English got a ton of new land that used to belong to the French. After the war, the Spanish also got some new land that used to belong to the French.
