Traveling

  • Mexico

    Mexico
    My family and I traveled with my church to Mexico the day after Christmas. We did mission work at a local church, Vacation Bible School with the children of "The Tracks," and hung out at The Casa, an orphanage owned by a family who use to attend my church.

  • MERCI 2007

    MERCI 2007
    I traveled on a small international mission trip to Goldsboro, NC, with 8 other members of my church, including my mom and younger brother. We spent the week working with a ministry called Footprints that runs summer programs at the MERCI Center. MERCI is a disaster response center that not only assists people who've recently been through a disaster, but also assists people in the local community.

  • New York City

    New York City
    I travel to New York City with the Pride of Mill Creek Marching Band to participate in the 2008 St. Patrick's Day Parade. We spent the weekend being tourists and visited the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Ground Zero, and many other popular NYC sites.

  • New Jersey

    New Jersey
    My grandma rented a house in New Jersey and we spent a week with family enjoying the beach. We spent a day at my aunt's oceanfront house and enjoyed tubing, jet skiing, and riding the boat around the harbor.

  • Costa Rica

    Costa Rica
    I traveled to Costa Rica for a week on a mission trip with my church. We spent the days making our own cement and working on small construction sites around the Centro Metodista where we were staying. Every night we had Vaction Bible School at a local church and hung out with some adorable kids. We had a "fun day" where we went to a coffee plantaion and then ziplining through the rainforest.

    London
    I spent a week in London, England with some of my best friends, and fellow band geeks.
    We packed in as much sight seeing as possible (The London Eye, the City of Bath, Stonehenge, the Tower of London and a dozen different castles) and rode the Tube almost everywhere.
    I marched in the 2010 New Year's Day Parade in London with the Pride of Mill Creek Marching Band.

  • Bahamas 2011

    Bahamas 2011
    I went to Grand Bahama island with the Georgia Southern Wesley Foundation. We worked with 2-5 year olds and taught them bible stories as well as some small construction at the Chart House.

    Bahamas 2012
    I traveled to the Bahamas with Georgia Southern Wesley Foundation and worked on construction and clean up in a small community that experienced multiple house fires.

  • Limetree

    My grandfather owns a timeshare in Sarasota, Florida, where my family and I vacation every summer. This year two of my roommates came with us and we spent the week enjoying the beautiful weather, shopping at St. Armand's Circle, and eating our fair share of ice cream.

  • Christmas in Maryland

    Christmas in Maryland
    I visited my family in Maryland and had a white Christmas! I got to see all my cousins and ate some delicious Greek food.
