Early in the moring
Early in the morning Scout was getting ready for her first day of school. When Scout, Jem, and Her dad were eating Jem said he will take scout to school and when they arrived Jem said to Scout she was not to bother him. Scout said "You mean we can't play anymore?" Jem said we can play at home. -
Scout's first day of school
Miss Caroline wrote down the alphabet and told scout to read it and when scout was finished reading Miss Caroline said "tell your father to stop teaching you it will interfere with your reading" and scout gets mad at Miss Caroline. -
Miss Caroline meets Walter
When Miss Caroline sees that Walter Cunningham doesn't have lunch so she gives Walter money but Walter doesn't accept the money because he is poor and can't pay her back. -
Scout gets punished
Everyone in the class looked at scout to tell Miss Caroline That Walter is poor. Scout said Miss Caroline he's a Cunningham and Scout sat back down. Miss Caroline didn't understand and said I beg your pardon and explained he was poor. After Miss Caroline told scout to go to her and she told Scout to hold out your hand and she hit scout with a ruler and told her to go back to your seat.
