Dill arrives in Maycomb
Dill comes to live with his aunt Rachel during the summer since school is out -
Scouts first day of school
Jem walked Scout to school. Miss Caroline Fisher(Scouts teacher) brought her to the front of the room and hit the back of room and with a ruler. Miss Caroline also shamed Scout for being able to read and write. A first appearance of classism in which Walter Cunningham didn't have any lunch and Scout simply said that he was a "Cunningham". -
Scout, Jem, and Dill Snuck into the Radley's yard
They snuck into the Radley's back yard in an attempt to see Boo Radley. Someone came outside to see the kids running away and shot at them with a shotgun. Jem lost his pants on the fence running away. Dill kissed Scout in front of Jem. Jem went by himself to get his pants and came back trembling in his bed. -
The knot hole
Jem and Scout had been finding things in an oak tree on their way from school everyday since the beginning of school. They walked past it after taking a watch, two carvings of a boy and girl gum and other things. this day they walked walked past it and it was filled with cement. They found out it was Mr.Radley. -
Boo Radley helps out
During the night of the fire at Miss Maudie's, scout was standing in the freezing air. She was so focused on the fire that she didn't even notice boo put a cover over her shoulders. -
Atticus' Speciality
A mad dog was roaming the streets and heck tate came to Atticus. Atticus shot the dog so quick and right after it raised it head. It had rabies so it could've attacked anyone. -
Mrs. Dubose
Mrs. Dubose was always really mean to Jem and Scout and one day Jem ticked and messed up all her flowers. Atticus then made him go read to her everyday for some odd reason. After she dies he then learns that he helped her beat and really bad morphine addiction through his reading. -
Calpurnia's Church
Calpurnia takes Scout and Jem to her church and the see that she speaks differently around the church people. They also see the poorer part of society and how the black community has to interact on certain things. -
Aunt Alexandria
Aunt Alexandria came to live to impress a feminine influence on Scout. She heavily believes in gender roles and thinks Atticus isn't teaching her how to be a lady. -
Atticus' Party
Many townsman came to the Finch residence to speak with Atticus about the upcoming transfer. They don't think its a good idea but Atticus thinks nothing will happen. -
The Mob
Atticus left late to guard the jailhouse one night. Scout, Jem, and Dill followed him there. soon after a gang of men showed to kill tom. Scout guilt tripped them into leaving. -
The trial
Atticus Basically proves that tom couldn't have raped Mayella due to his disability but he was still convicted. -
Bob Ewell
He spat in Atticus' face and told him he was gonna get him. -
Gender
Atticus tells the children that women cant serve on the jury. This shows a big thing with gender roles and conformity because they "ask too many questions". -
Lunch
Aunt Alexandria invites ladies over for lunch. Scout tries to act lady like for Aunt Alexandria. -
Jailbreak
Tom is shot and killed trying to escape prison. -
Jems Wisdom
He wont let Scout squish a bug because it doesn't bother her. A lesson he learned from Atticus. -
Bob Ewell pt.2
Bob gets fired from his job, leaves a note at the judges doorstep, and starts stalking Toms wife. -
Scout
She gets a part in her school play as a ham. -
The attack
As Scout and Jem are going home from the play, Bob attacks them. Boo then attacks bob killing him.
