Impressment of Sailors
The impressment of sailors was a practice done by British sailors where they would board American ships and seize sailors that were accused of being British deserters, basically kidnapping sailors. 15,000 sailors were taken from these ships and were used to supplement British sailors when Great Britain was at war with France. -

This was an agreement made in Belgium between America and Britain to end the war of 1812 and to maintain pre-war conditions since both nations were so balanced neither could get their desired outcome. -
Battle of New Orleans
This was the final major battle of the war of 1812. It was a battle that seemed to be in the favor of the British but General Andrew Jackson on the American side managed to win the battle and keep Britain from gaining territory that was earlier bought through the Louisiana Purchase.
