It was the first meeting of Estates General since 1614. The meeting was called because the French government was having severe financial problems. They voted by having each state count as one body. The Third Estate did not like this because they could be outvoted by the First and Second Estate which were much smaller.

The Tennis Court Oath was a meeting between the three estates to vote to weather or not reassemble wherever it was necessary. The Third Estate had much more power when voting because it was much bigger than both Estate One and Estate Two. The Storming of the Bastille was a attack on a prison in which the goal was for the people to go inside and steal guns and ammunition because they believed that the extra military at the city was there to slaughter the civilians for being unruly. The uprise of slaves was a long thought out process in which the slaves would tell other slaves the plan so that one day they were hoping to overwhelm the plantation owners. When arriving in Venezuela Simon Bolivar is feared by the locals because they had heard plans of him going there to look for slaves to take back to europe to make a profit off of.
