We started The Yogi-Co-Op Facebook Group (orginally called Orange County Yoga Teachers) as a place for yoga teachers to network and share information.

The response to the FB group was GREAT! It seems that teachers and studios were looking for community and growth. The thought crossed my mind, perhaps this should be greater than a FB group?!

After tossing around a bunch of names, seeing which were taken already and then coming up with more we finally decided on The Yogi Co-Op

This is our public Facebook page that is open to teachers, students and the general public everywhere :)

We began compiling a list of studios throughout Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside and San Bernardino counties that we would reach out to to join the co-op (there are a lot of them, we are still finding new ones everyday!

Well acutally, they gave us two (thanks SCORE) - and they helped us understand which type of business entity to establish, what type of insurance we would need, how to develop a business plan and accurate budget.

Back end programming for The Yogi Co-Op database begins...it's a lof of work that no one will ever see but they will appreciate it when our site integrates smoothly with MindBody!

Traffic was already starting to make it's way to our website, theyogicoop.com, even though nothing was up yet so we launched a basic landing page explaining what the co-op is. Database building continues...

Testing the database and it's interaction with MindBody and member studios to get the bugs worked out before we launch to the public and open for business!
