When the British marched into Washington, Dolly Madison saved all the President's important papers. The White House was burned down but America won't help. 1931 the national athem became the Star Spangles Banner.

It was writin on the back of an envolpe. The Star Spangled Banner was based on what he saw that night. After awhile it was set to music and became our national anthem.

At this meeting they decided that the New England States secede from the United States. A group of Federalists met in Hartford Connecticut. The Hartford Convention ended very fast because the war was over.

On Christmas Eve of 1814they signerd a treaty for war. Everything returned to normal after the treaty was signed. The treaty was signed because Britain was sick of war by 1814.

It was weeks before the United States heard about the treaty. Britain and America fought another battle before they heard of the treaty and it being signed. In 1815 General Andrew Jackson led them to a win of War.
