Moctezuma II, the 9th emperor of the Aztecs, was known as Motecuhzoma Xocoyotzin, and was the last true leader of the aztecs. He met his downfall when he was taken prisoner by the spainish, who made him prech to his people in the favor of the spainish. Hernan Cortes is a spainish explorer who was never content with his lot. he was part of the expeditionary force to cuba, and from there, recieved permission from Velasquez to set sail for the "New World", a place where the streets are paved with gold, ripe for the taking. Nautrally, Velasquez grants this voyage to establish "Trade Relations" with the indigenous people.

The large cathedral in Spain is finished, becoming the 3rd largest chathedral, only larger cathedrals being St. Peters Basillica and The Vatican, which are both located in the heart of the Catholic Church (Rome).

Temple mayor, aka the "Temple of the Sun" is an interesting temple becasue it has one unique feature: It is really a twin-temple. there are 4 sacrificial tables at the top of the temple, and these tables are kept busy with many sacrifices throughout the day. There was once a series of sacrifices that took place over many days in which around 25,000 people were sacrificed at this temple and others located around the city.
