    Nicholas II took over the throne when his father died of kidney disease. He claimed that he was not ready to take on the responsibility of becoming a czar. Later on, he married and had five children. Nicholas II was not particularly liked by the Russians but he tried his best to please them.

    Bloody Sunday was the name given to this Sunday in St Petersburg when unarmed demonstrators led by Father Georgy Gapon were fired upon by soldiers of the Imperial Guard as they marched towards the Winter Palace. The Russians blamed Czar Nicholas II for this tragedy and resulted in calling him "Bloody Nicholas" even though he czar did not tell the soldiers to shoot those people.

    In the beginning of WWI, Russia's armies were not prepared and performed poorly. At that point, Czar Nicholas II stepped in to be commander-in-chief so he could take direct control of the military. In the aftermath of WWI, Russia had major losses and the country was in extreme poverty and high inflation. The Russians blamed Nicholas II for his poor military decisions.

    Czar Nicholas II was forced to abdicate from his throne by the Petrograd insurgents and a different government took his place. Nicholas II did not seem to like the position of czar anyway, since he was not trained and the Russians could tell because of his ineffective leadership.

These groups included monarchists, militarists, and, foreign nations. They were known as the Whites while the Bolsheviks were known as the Reds.

    The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (aka he USSR or the Soviet Union) was a Marxist-Leninist state that existed between 1922 and 1991 on the Eurasian continent. The Creation of the USSR is a historical document that formed the constitutional basis to make the Soviet Union a multinational state.

    Vladimir Lenin died at the age of 54 of a brain hemorrhage. He was not a good man, Nicholas II and his whole family was killed under the request of Lenin. He was the first leader of the Soviet Union and the architect of the Bolshevik Revolution.
