    The Russian Revolution overthrew the imperial government.

    (d)- The support of the lives of the nobility, rather than the peasant and working classes.
    (s)- People started hating the Czar because Alexander made the people realize they didn't want an absolute monarchy. Czar Alexander III targeted the jewish people. He is going to support the Russian Orthodox church.

    (d)- ruled Russia from 1894- 1917. (son of Czar Alexander II)
    (s)- People were unhappy and did not like Czar Nicholas II and the people wanted to overthrow him. Czar Nicholas II ruled as an absolute monarchy (Autocracy) throwing him into a dictator like role. People had no voice/say in govt, opposed democratic reform. also wouldn't let workers industrialize or urbanize.

    Russo- Japanese War

    (d)- Russia went to war with Japan because Russia and Japan found themselves in competition over territory in northern China (Manchuria). Russia lost this war.
    (s)- This war contributed to the Bolshevik Revolution by losing the Russo-Japanese War and people god mad and started overthrowing.

    Duma = constitutional monarchy, new elected legislature
    Nicholas created the Duma but, he gave little power as possible, further dooming his reputation among his country.
    (d)- Tzar NIcholas, the establisher of the duma promised that it would be a representative assembly.
    (s)- It allowed the feel of a heard political voice and have hope to the tsar's ability to share the autocratic power.

    (d)- is when 200,000 Russians on January 22 1905 marched on the Czar's palace on behalf of their own well-being and the state of experiencing abnormal working hours and living conditions.
    (s)- this was one of the leading factors when it comes to the cause of the Russian Revolution. this was one of the biggest causes in 1905.

    The Russian workers were made unhappy during Czar Nicholas's reign, because of his absolute monarchy.
    The Russian workers could not participate in the government.
    The Russian Workers were struggling to industrialize and urbanize.
  • Death of Rasputin

    Rasputin died in the river and his legs and arms were tied and the Royal family did this.
    To kill Rasputin, the Royal family did a lot to try to kill him such as put poison in his wine, put poison in his desert, and the royal family tried to shoot Rasputin but, Rasputin did not died like that.

    They made a promise of peace, bread, and land.
    Czar NIcholas II gave up the throne and left the country.

    In this Revolution, there were a lot of things happening like the red terror, tried to make an attempt to make up to kill Lenin and the red terror went after the people who were against the revolution. The Romanovs got shot and killed during this revolution.

    (d)- A war that the Red and White army were fighting each other because the Red Army wanted to protect the Revolution and the White Army wanted to stop the spread of communism.
    (s)- This contributed to the establishment of the USSR because Russia was in the Civil War and Russia became the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR or Soviet Union) in 1922.

    (d)- A competition to replace him between Trotsky and Joseph Stalin to see who will be the dictator.
    (s)- This led by Lenin and the Communist Party.

    Lenin died in 1924 and Lenin's death made room for Joseph Stalin to come to power.

    Stalin won and ruled Soviet Union as a dictator.
  • Leon Trotsky's exile

    There was a competition to replace Lenin as a dictator and the competition to be a dictator was between Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin and Joseph Stalin Won and Joseph Stalin is now a dictator and this is why Leon Trotsky was exiled.
