    Battle at Marathon

    Battle at Marathon
The battle at Marathon was fought by the Athenians. Athens defeated the Persians by closing them in and trapping their boats in the center, after destroying Persia's boats of defense around the strongest in the middle. This was important because it showed that the Athenians were smart enough with war strategy and probably planned out how they were going to attack the Persian ships. The reason why I chose the image is because it shows the strategy the the Athenians used to defeat the Persians.
