Journey to Disney World
Last year, my family and I went to Disney World for the fourth time. We always drive the grueling twelve hours to Orlando with six of us stuffed in the car. It is a very hard task! This relates to Phoenix because she is on a long, perilous journey toward the town, just as we were on a long, hard journey toward Disney World! -

On the course of our journey, we look out the window at the trees, corn fields, and sights along the interstate we are traveling on. This relates to Phoenix because throughout her journey she stops and looks at the forest around her and appreciates its beauty. -
Journey to Disney World
When we reach the tunnel and Tallahassee, Florida, these are two big halfway marks for us! We get so excited because we are getting closer and closer to Disney World. This relates to the story of Phoenix because when she is all the way up the hill she says, "'Up through pines,' she said at length. 'Now down through oaks.'" The fact that she has come to the hill in her journey relates to us coming to the tunnel and Tallahassee. We both see the light at the end of our journey! -

About ten hours into our journey, we were all very irritable and started to fight. We really needed to get out of the car! This relates to when Phoenix came to the barbed wire fence in her journey. The barbed wire fence was a hardship which she had to overcome, just as our fighting was a hardship that we had to overcome! -
Journey to Disney World
Finally, we made it to Disney World! After twelve long hours of driving in the car, we finally pulled through the final toll bridge and on through the Disney Gates! This parallels the story of Pheonix for when she enters the town. She finally made it to her destination, the town, through endurance just as we made it to Disney!
