In the middle of the black sea and the Aegean Sea is a small body of land.During this time this was a good trade route for merchants and traders.This was because it could be reached from two different seas and by land this was a great place to put a city.There was alot of water that surounded it so it was hard to attack this city.When the roman empire was split in half constantinople was still hight and became thecapital for the new Byzantine Empire. -

Charlemange was getting So he was ready to give his empire to his son.He only had one son left who was Louis his other two sons had already died.So Louis was crowned king but he did not get perission from the pope so they did not like this there was nothing they could do.Louis was not a good emperor.A new pope came and put a crown on king louis this made him a Holy Roman Emperor.Louis was honornored.When he died his kingdom was split between his sons who fought and made a bad empire agin.
