Irene arrived in Peru and taught sewing and craftwork to the women of the village and helped the children. -
Missionary
After 30 years of teaching in Australian schools Irene made her decision that she wanted to serve the poor. She arrived in Peru in 1987 for missionary work. -
Returned to Huasahuasi
Irene McCormack returned to the village of Huasahuasi after feeling that the church could not abandon the villagers. -

She Died in Peru trying to feed the poor. -
