Moses finds out he is not actually royalty and kills one of the guards for beating a slave. Then God appears to Moses as a burning bush and tells him to free the his people, the Israelite's. Two lessons we learned: To stay true to yourself and those you care about. And to always trust in God

God punished the Pharaoh every time he refused to free the Israelite's, which resulted in the death of his son. The Pharaoh agreed to free them and Moses led his people out of Egypt.
Acts 7:22: "and Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was mighty in his words and deeds.
Hebrews 11:24: "by faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaohs daughter." -
God formed a new covenant, the ten commandments, on mount sinai and had these commandments carved in stone

The Kingdom of Israel was formed by Saul who was later succeeded by King David. King David became the greatest of all kings. He later established Jerusalem as the central city for his people.

King David was succeeded by Solomon who built the temple. After his death the kingdom split into the Northern Kingdom.

The Northern Kingdom was destroyed by the Assyrians. The southern kingdom survived until 597 B.C.E., when its leading citizens were captured by the Babylonians.

Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed and thousands
more were led into captivity.
