After being created Youtube was successfully growing quickly. Google notice how much Youtube was successful and 18 months later Google bought Youtube. Under Google, Youtube went from amateurs making videos for fun to content creators turning it into a business.

The first viral video was called Lazy Sunday. It helped Youtube to get attention all around the world. Lazy Sunday gained up to 1.2million views within 10 days. In 2005 this was a lot of views and it was an example of the power of youtube's role in marketing.
