    A mob of protesters marched from Paris to the Palace, they forced the King and the Queen ,who lived in luxury unlike the people of France, to go back to France to "Live among the people"

    The royal family tried to flee the country and seek refuge in Austria. King Louis XVI denounced the constitution and the revolution. He also believed that he would be reinstated as the absolute monarch.

    A crowd of about 20,000 people attacked the palace. The king and queen escaped the palace and placed themselves in the care of the Legislative assembly. They were arrested.
