The building of the Palace of Versailles was not a good thing for the people of France. This is the place King Louis XVI went to stay to get out of the chaos of his city. While his people were suffering in the streets of Paris he was away partying making it so much worse.

King Louis married Marie Antoinette in the year of 1770. She was a young 15 year old girl that cared a lot about her looks and buying things for herself.She was from the country of Austria and married only to make allies with France. She, as well and the King, didn't care much about the political affairs themselves.

King Louis XVI called the meeting because of a few reasons. He did this because France was bankrupt and the royal family had been severely threatened. The Estates General were representatives of all classes who were asked for their view and vote on the revolution in France. King Louis XVI was forced to give his power to the Estates General.

The Tennis Court Oath was signed by the National Assembly.This Oath came to attention because of the unacceptable actions the Third Estate received.They were supposed to meet in the Menus Plaisirs hall but it was locked against them forcing them to meet on the indoor Tennis Court.

People were storming the Bastille because they were finally tired of the conditions they were living in. The people were living in terrible houses, having to work and pay taxes with all the money they had, and going through famine. They broke in to steal the weapons that only the Bastille had.

The Declaration of the Rights of Man is issued by the National Assembly. The Declaration of the Rights of Man & Citizen is drawn up and outlines equality and independence for all men under the state. Even though it was one of the main documents of the Revolution, women and slaves were not covered under this Declaration.

The Guillotine was invented and introduced by Joseph-Ignace Guillotine. It was a new device made for executions. Most people that would commit crimes were executed by the Guillotine, which cut their heads off.

Robespierre tthought that all people were actually good and everyone should be equal. He was also the leader of the Jacobin.He knew that all the people of France were suffering and he just wanted to make it better. To him the people that commit "crimes" were to all be executed.

People of France were finally getting tired of so many people getting executed they accused the leader of most of it, which was Robespierre. He was declared an outlaw for killing so many people. After this all he was executed in Paris by Guillotine.

After 9 months of King Louis XVI's death Marie Antionette was finally tried. When she went through trial she was convicted of treason. Marie was then sent to execution by Guillotine.
