    the french revolution was inspired by the American revolution, the french aided in the American revolution and craved the same freedoms as the Americans. with the help of the french the amreican revolution was succesfull and now the french want the same freedoms.

    the estates general was a meeting between all three estates, the 1st estate was the king and clergy the 2nd was the nobles and the 3rd was everyone else. The 1st and 2nd estates had all the power and the 3rd had little to none. the meeting was called by king Louis XVI because the financal situation in france was terriable, France was in debt from them helping the U.S in its war for independance. When the meeting was called they discussed new forms of taxes and undertaking new reforms.

    the 3rd estate pushed to have the national assembly, they wanted a new legeslature and to have equality for all peopl in france. this became known as the first real act of the french revolution. the 3rd estate wanted a consitutional monarchy and all they wanted was equality.

    the 3rd estate was locked out of their room for the estates general and finaly had it with the government. they stormed the tennis court and pleged that the power should come from the people and not the monarchy. it was signed and officaly started the french revolution

    citizens of france banded together and stormed the french prison known as the Bastille. This event was the first violent act of the revolution, as they stormed they took weapons, gun powder, and freed prisoners. they took several lives and destroyed the bastille. this was the first decapitations of the revolution.

    he was a very intelegent man and a leader of the revolution he sentenced anyone who was against the revolution to death

    After the start of the revolution the royal family gets scared and tries to flee paris. as they were escaping they were found and then captured. after this happend everyone saw louis as a coward and traitor.

    king louis xvi of france was tried for treason for trying to escape during the revolution, by a narrow majority he was sentenced to death and he was killed by beheading by the way of guillitene

    the leader was Robespierre and during this time thousands were killed for very little, the guilitene was used more then anything eles and robespierre became very paranoid during this time robespierre was killed

    after the reign of terror france is still very hectic and has still been fighting but then the general napoleon takes over and becomes the ruler of france, he modled his reign off of the greeks and was a very powerful ruler he sought greatness for his family and france so he fought many wars and didnt lose many
