The American Patriots in the Thirteen groups of people or other living things defeated the British in the American Revolutionary War with the help of France, winning independence from Great Britain and beginning and building on the United States of America. -

Execution of Robespierre
After a year of harsh rule by Robespierre, many of the important changes leaders had had enough of the Terror. They turned on Robespierre and had him arrested. He was killed, along with many of his supporters, by device that chopped off human heads on July 28, 1794.
