The women of France, angry at King Louis about the shortage of food, march toward Versaille in order to get King Louis and his wife to move to Paris so they could help sort out the economic crisis. -
The Royal Family Attempts to Escape France
King Louis XVI and his wife try to escape France as the crisis in France escalates. However, they are spotted in disguise and put under house arrest, but, Europe's other kings threatened France. -
Beheading of King Louis XVI
With the guillotine, King Louis XVI is beheaded after trying to escape France. This caused other kings in Europe to become alarmed. To prevent the revolution from spreading, they attacked France. -
The Terror
Robespierre takes control of France and becomes its leader. However, after a year of terror with huge amounts of beheading via the guillotine, Robespierre is beheaded himself. The more moderate Directory takes control. -
Napolean Bonaparte
After Napolean Bonaparte defeats all of France's enemies after the Revolution, he declares himself an emperor with nearly unlimited power.
