    They married when Marie was only 14 years old. Louis was only 15 years old. At the time, Louis wanted nothing to do with the young woman. It wasn't until later that they had a child.

    it was a transitional body between the Estates-General and the National Constituent Assembly. The Estate-General was called to deal with France's financial crisis. The Third estate started to meet,and called themselves the commons.

    Revolutionaries with muskets began firing at soldiers standing guard on the bastille's towers and then took cover in the Bastille's courtyard. That evening,mobs stormed the Paris Arsenal and another armory and acquired thousands of muskets. At dawn on July 14th,a crowd armed with muskets,swords,and various makeshift weapons began to gather around the Bastille.

These rights are liberty,property,security,and resistance to oppression.The National Assembly believed that the ignorance,neglect,or contempt of the rights of man are the sole cause of public calamities. It was written by a committee headed by the Marquis de la Fayette in 1789.

    It was one of the earliest and most significant events of the French Rev. The march began among women in a market place. Rioting over the high prices and scarcity of bread. Grew a mob of thousands and encouraged by revolutionary agitators,they ransacked the city armory for weapons and march to the palace of versailles.

    The royal family had many reasons to escape paris. They were under serious risk of physical violence. Also they were forced to be moved there by an angry mob.
  • Death of King Louis the 16th

    In 1788,Louiswas forced to reinstate France's National Assembly (the estates general) which quickly curtailed the kings power. A mob forced him to be prisoned along with his family. The National Convention condemnd Louis XVI to death. He said goodbye to his wife and children. He was sent to the guillotine were his head was cut off

    After the king died,Austria,Purssia,Spain,Portugal,Britain,and the Dutch Republic invaded France and attacked. The French had to win the war or the absolute monarchy would be crushed.

    It was a period of factional and ideological violence during the French Rev. It lasted from Spetember 5th 1794 to July 28th 1794 . Many people were guillotined....(beheaded).
  • Napoleon becomes dictator of France

    Became dictator in 1799. He conquered and ruled over much of western Europe. Had his army fight against Prussia...Austria....England....and Great Britain. He lost 1 battle.
  • What happened after the French Revolution

    It ened the monarchy in Europe. The church lost most of its power. People had more rights/freedoms. There are no longer 3 estates. The 3rd estate gained a lot,the 1st and 2nd estates lost all of their stuff.
  • What happened to Napoleon

    After he lost the 1 battle,he was exiled to an island called St.Helena. Once people experienced rights and freedoms they decided not to go back to an absolute monarchy.King Napoleon soon died and no one is really sure how it happened.
