    The Texas War for Independence

    This is when the Texas Revolutionary War happened. Whether or not you believe it, Mexico is terrible at waging war, especially against Texas.
  • 1826--1835

    Many different militia-related events occured during this time period. These events were small skirmishes not considered truly part of the Revolution.
  • Battle of Gonzales

    The unofficial official begining of the Texas War for Independence.
  • End of the Siege of Bexar

    This is the first major campaign of the Texas Revolution. The siege lasted roughly a week, with the Mexican forces (under the command of Gen. Martín Perfecto de Cos) surrendering. Cos fled South and Texas' General Burrelson captured a large portion of the Mexicans' armaments.
  • The Battle Begins

    This is the day that Mexico begins its assault on the mission known as "The Alamo." Less than 200 Texans VS. approx. 1500 Mexicans, coming in 3 waves, the first 2 being repulsed.
  • The Alamo Falls!!!

    Mexico captures the Alamo. This is their first major win of the war.
  • Battle of Goliad

    The Mexicans actually won this battle. They gain support from Mexican-allied Texans y northern Mexicans.
  • Battle of San Jacinto

    The official unofficial end of the Texas War for Independence. After this, there were no large-scale military engagements. This is probably because Mexico is terrible at fighting wars. The fighting lasts roughly 18 minutes, with the Texans claiming victory. The Texans had less than 40 casualties, the Mexicans claiming roughly 150. Good job, Mexico!
