  • Temple Mayor

    Temple Mayor

    This was the most important temple of the Aztecs. It was the main sacrificial temple. It's height was 197ft tall, and is known for being a doule temple. There are two shrine that sit at the top, that are dedicated to the two gods, Huitzilopochtli and Tlaloc. They did this because the two gods (Sun and War; Rain and Fertility) needed constant sacrifices.

    Moctezuma will forever be one of the most known Emperor of the Aztecs as he was the one in power when the Spanish came. He is a very important person in Spanish and Aztec history.
